    Optical Thin Film Coating

ASELSAN Within the Sivas Optical Production Unit, high-performance optical thin-film coating processes are carried out using physical vapor deposition (PVD) technology in ISO Class 7 (Class 10,000) cleanroom conditions. Thanks to the advanced coating infrastructure, optical coatings with high transmittance, high reflectivity, and special spectral characteristics can be applied to the ultraviolet (UV), visible (VIS), near-infrared (NIR), mid-wave infrared (MWIR), and long-wave infrared (LWIR) spectral regions.

Coating technologies; Lenses, prisms, windows, filters and other optical components are developed in accordance with performance requirements and repeatable production is ensured with high-precision process control.

    Spectral Operating Range:
    200 nm ≤ λ ≤ 13,000 nm

    • High-performance optical thin film coatings using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) technology is being carried out.

    • Precise coating processes are carried out in a cleanroom environment conforming to ISO Class 7 (Class 10,000) standards.

    • Optical coating solutions for different applications are offered in the spectral range of 200–13,000 nm.

    • Anti-reflective (AR), Highly Reflective (HR), Partially Reflective (Beam Splitter), Filter and Dielectric coating applications are performed.

  • High-precision optical coating service is provided for lenses, prisms, windows, filters and other optical components.
  • Reticle Transfer with Maskless Photolithography Method

ASELSAN Sivas Optical Production Unit performs high-precision reticle and micro-pattern transfer onto optical components using advanced maskless photolithography technology. Thanks to this technology, which can create patterns directly from digital data, rapid prototyping, design revision, and low-volume production can be carried out with high accuracy without the need for mask production.

The maskless photolithography system has the ability to process patterns up to a resolution of 0.6 µm and enables high-precision reticle applications on various optical components, especially prisms.

    Mechanical Production

ASELSAN Sivas has advanced CNC machining technologies in the production of high-precision optomechanical components that support the performance of optical systems. Production processes are planned in line with manufacturability analyses using computer-aided design (CAD/CAM) infrastructure; parts requiring high precision are machined on modern CNC milling and lathe machines.

Within the scope of optomechanical production activities, high-precision mechanical components are produced for defense, space, medical and civil applications; all parts are subjected to dimensional verification and quality control processes with coordinate measuring devices (CMM) to verify their compliance with the relevant technical drawings and tolerance requirements.

    System Integration

ASELSAN Sivas carries out the assembly, integration, active alignment, and verification processes of sub-components, sub-systems, and systems of optical and electro-optical products requiring high precision, with its advanced production infrastructure. Components of optical, electro-optical, optomechanical, periscope, and laser systems are assembled with high precision in controlled clean areas; after optical alignment and integration processes, they are made ready for duty by undergoing functional, performance, and environmental verification tests at the system level.

Quality assurance principles are taken as the basis in all stages of the production process; From material acceptance to final product shipment, incoming quality control, process controls, functional verification, optical performance verification, and environmental resistance tests are applied. All activities are carried out in accordance with AS9100 Aerospace, Space and Defense Quality Management System and ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards.

    Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)

ASELSAN Sivas provides comprehensive Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) services to ensure the cost-effective operation of high-precision electro-optical, laser, and optomechanical systems throughout their lifecycle. These activities, which aim to ensure operational continuity throughout the entire process from design and production to the decommissioning of systems, encompass line, base, and factory-level maintenance and repair processes carried out with our advanced testing infrastructure, as well as critical spare parts and inventory management. Furthermore, processes such as providing theoretical and practical training for user and maintenance personnel in accordance with international military standards, and monitoring technological aging risks, are carried out with a holistic logistics support vision to ensure that field performance is maintained at the highest level.
